How to Create a Gallery Wall
Are you looking to curate a captivating display of multiple framed artworks filled with creativity and cultural richness into your space but don’t know where to start?
With Anatir's collection of Middle Eastern-inspired art, bringing this vision to life is more accessible than ever before. Follow this simple 4-step guide to bring your vision to life.
Step 1: Choose Your Wall
The first step in creating your gallery wall is to choose the perfect spot. Consider the layout of your room, the size of the wall, and the overall aesthetic you want to achieve.
Whether it's a focal point above the sofa or a statement piece in the hallway, find your wall and aesthetic. You can check out Anatir’s Instagram and Pinterest accounts for inspiration.
Step 2: Measuring
Before diving into creating your gallery wall, it's essential to measure the space you're working with. Start by measuring the width and height of the wall where you plan to hang your gallery. Consider the surrounding furniture and aim to center the frames above it for optimal balance.
Once you have your overall size, grab a paper and pencil (or if your comfortable doing this digitally) begin by sketching the largest piece in the middle as your guide, and add more pieces around it while keeping an eye on balance, materials, color, and visual flow. Aim for a spacing of approximately 1.5-4” (4-10 cm) between artworks for a cohesive look. You can utilize painter’s tape to create “empty frames” on the wall based on your measurements, allowing you to experiment with different layouts before committing to hanging your artwork.
Once you’ve found a layout you love, capture a photo for future reference. We’ve included templates at the end of this page for layout inspiration with sizes.

Step 3: Select Your Artwork
This is the part you’ve probably been waiting for! Select pieces that speak to you and reflect your personal style. Mix and match photographs, prints, painting styles, and other artwork to create visual interest and depth. Anatir offers a diverse range of prints and pieces to suit any style.
Don't forget to consider framing options. Your choice of framing can enhance the style and personality of your space just as much as the artwork itself. Whether you prefer modern monochromatic frames or a mix of colors and textures, Anatir offers pinewood frames in four colors or canvas prints without frames.

Step 4: Hanging
Before hanging each frame, carefully measure and mark the wall to ensure secure mounting. Determine the total width of your gallery wall, mark the corners, and center it above surrounding furniture for optimal balance. Maintain consistent spacing between frames by using low adhesive tape to guide your placement.
Once everything is measured and marked, proceed to hang your artwork with care and precision, using a pocket ruler and spirit level for accuracy.
When you’ve hung that final piece, pour yourself a cup of Turkish coffee, switch on Fairouz and admire your Anatir gallery wall—a true reflection of your unique style and creativity.
