Our Own Inspiration
Hi, I’m Reem Jeiroudi – a true lover of Middle Eastern art and culture. Growing up in the Middle East, my soul was painted with the vibrant hues of my homeland. Though life's journey led my family and me to Canada, the longing to bring my roots with me and enfold my children in them was strong. It was this drive that sparked the idea of Anatir – a space where all things Middle Eastern art could come together.
I also knew the struggle of finding art that mirrored my heritage, and that I wasn't alone. Many people embark on journeys back to the Middle East to bring a piece of their culture back with them. With Anatir, we invite you to a realm where the colors, stories, and emotions of the Middle East are just a click away.
It's a tribute to the dreamers who dared to bridge the gap between continents and cultures, and those whose roots run deep in their heritage.
A-na-tir
Plural for the Arabic word ‘Antara’ meant to represent arches or many arches in architecture and the idea of things hanging. Reminiscent of an Arabic courtyard adorned with traditional patterns, textures, flora and fauna, and flowing fountains that cultivate a sense of tranquility, welcome, and calm.
